Nos proponemos observar las formas que adoptó su interacción con el grupo vencedor de cristianos del norte, en un contexto cada vez más infundido de romano- centrismo y que impuso como urgentes determinados cambios en los hábitos religiosos y culturales de la población. Sostenemos que lo ocurrido en Toledo puede catalogarse como una aculturación desde el momento en que los poderes civil y eclesiástico pusieron en marcha una serie de dispositivos que tenían como fin borrar las herencias visigodas y árabes para, en el mediano y largo plazo, dirigir una comunidad cada vez más homogénea. Una estrategia que, por otro lado, solía acompañar a las conquistas que, lejos de agotarse en sus aspectos económicos, implicaban también la pérdida de un desarrollo cultural autónomo para los vencidos, siendo sus artefactos culturales más afectados la lengua y la religión. ; The aim of our work is to address the situation of the Mozarabic community of Toledo after the Christian conquest of the city in 1085, and to analyze their interaction with the group of Christians from the north in a context increasingly marked by the influence of Rome that imposed as urgent certain changes in the religious and cultural habits of the population. Taking into account this last issue, we propose that what happened in Toledo can be classified as an acculturation since the civil and ecclesiastical powers launched a series of devices to erase the Visigoth and Arab heritage in the medium and long term, in order to lead a community increasingly homogeneous. A strategy that used to accompany the conquests that far from exhausted in its economic aspects involved also the loss of an autonomous cultural development for the vanquished, specially affecting their language and religion.  Fil: Estevez, María de la Paz. Sánchez Albornoz pasará un año y medio recorriendo los archivos locales del norte de España primero y de otras regiones después. Transcribiendo documentos y tomando notas reúne miles de fichas que van a constituir su archivo personal. El segundo hecho crucial es su estadía en Viena entre 1927 y 1928, que planifica para mejorar su alemán y para estar en contacto con Dopsch, a quien admira.La actividad política de Claudio Sánchez Albornoz se inicia con la dictadura de Primo de Rivera, que lo impulsa a presentar resistencia.
